This is the year of Green Scout Cup, the first mono-make trophy for LPG cars born in collaboration with Kia Motors Italia: a unique championship in the international automotive scene with 15 KIA VENGA competing on the major national circuits.
15 cars on the starting grid, completely identical in mechanics and performance, whose only variable is the human factor: it’s the driver who makes the difference and determines the result.
The young driver Alberto Viberti wins the first season, followed in the ranking by Luca Lorenzini and the Italian TV reporter Jimmy Ghione.
Giro d’Italia Automobilistico
At the end of the season, the Giro d’Italia Automobilistico returns in style; 5 races from Torino to Vallelunga with stages on the circuits of Monza, Franciacorta, Mugello, more than 1.700 km covered, 10 special stages, 5 speed tests and 3 super special stages. Racing cars of the most different categories: modern and historic ones, Gran Turismo track and Rally compact ones.
BRC Racing Team participates as a protagonist, lining up at the start 10 LPG cars: 7 Kia Venga from the Green Scout Cup, 1 Seat Leon Super Copa, 1 Nissan 350Z and the prototype Montecarlo Automobile powered by a 12-cylinder Audi engine. Cars and BRC systems prove once again to be safe and performing in full respect of the environment, and to be able to compete with cars powered by traditional fuels.

Suzuki Rally Cup
BRC pure power is a protagonist also in rallies
After the positive experiences on the tracks of Green Scout Cup and ECC Trophy, in 2012 BRC also faces the world of Rally, taking part to Suzuki Rally Cup with a LPG Swift Sport 1600 N-Top, with the stated objective of demonstrating the level of maturity achieved by alternative power supply technology in terms of safety, reliability and performance.
BRC decides to entrust the car to Stéphanie Le Coultre and co-driver Sonia Boi. The success is immediate, both in terms of performance and image.

The championship passes through Poznan, Poland, and the charming Nurburgring, in addition to the classic stages of the “Bel Paese”.
Alessandra Brena conquers the title, followed in the ranking by Jimmy Ghione and “loyal” Marco Brioschi.
Suzuki Rally Cup
After debuting in 2012 a rally car powered by LPG for the first time in the world, proving the level of maturity achieved by alternative power technology in terms of safety, reliability and performance, BRC Racing Team returns again at the start of the rally season.
The car is a Suzuki Swift Trofeo Rally in the hands of female crew of Stephanie Le Coultre and Sonia Boi. 2013 is also the year of first absolute success of a LPG car at the 20° Taro International Rally thanks to the one-time participation of Milko Pini and Daniele Pellegrini.

The tried and tested formula that alternates races on national circuits with European stages is proposed also in 2014. The mono-make championship assigns once again the title of “Italian Champion of Alternative Energies”, thanks to the LPG monofuel system and 2 electric permanent magnet synchronous engines on the rear axle generating a 25CV maximum additional power.
The title goes to another young driver: Gabriele Torelli that, at the end of an exciting season, precedes the expert Jimmy Ghione and the talented young driver Jacopo Lombardelli.
Italian Rally Championship
2014 is also and above all the year of the debut of BRC Racing Team in the highest national rally competition: the Italian Rally Championship with Giandomenico Basso driving a LPG Ford Fiesta R5 equipped with BRC LDI – liquid direct injection – system.
Success is huge, thanks to 13 podiums and 2 overall victories allowing Giandomenico Basso (and co-drivers Mitia Dotta and Lorenzo Granai) to get the second place overall in the final ranking.
Suzuki Rally Cup
Also in 2014, in addition to the main program of LDI Fiesta, BRC takes part again to the Suzuki Rally Trophy and Trophy R1.
The Swift 1.6 equipped with Sequent system, the BRC gaseous injection system, is entrusted to the Junior team of Michele Tassone and Daniele Michi.
This is a winning project too, with the triumph of the crew in Sukuki Rally Trophy.

ITALIAN RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
2016 is the year of triumph. The 2016 rally season, in fact, has a great epilogue. An absolute victory for Giandomenico Basso and Lorenzo Granai, sought since 2014 and finally arrived after so much effort and work.
The season starts between ups and downs with a second place at stage Ciocco followed by a misstep at stage Sanremo. Also the third race, Targa Florio, it’s a two-faced test where a victory alternates with a retirement.
The turning point comes after the Rally dell’Adriatico, which coincides with the debut in the BRC team of Simone Campedelli and Danilo Fappani. Basso and Granai win double victories at Rally di San Marino and Rally del Friuli and reopen the championship. Two more good placings in Rome allow to reach the decisive appointment of Due Valli di Verona. In the Scaliger city a new pearl arrives. Basso and Granai conquer yet another stage with coefficient 1,5 and they control their opponents in the last decisive tests winning the long-awaited and well-deserved title: 2 rallies won, 6 stage wins, 31 special stages conquered: these are the numbers of the BRC championship.
Italian Championship Alternative Energy Green Hybrid Cup Hill Climb
After 5 years of exciting challenges on the most prestigious national and foreign circuits, Green Hybrid Cup is renewed and meets the charm of uphill races. The series, always valid as Italian Championship of Alternative Energy becomes part of the Italian Championship Mountain Speed, always a catalyst for the public due to the charm of a specialty that makes spectators supporting actors of the event.
After six appointments in enchanting places in different Italian regions, Nicola Gonnella wins the Green Hybrid Cup preceding Pasqualino Amodeo and Francesco de Juliis.
The cars are still Kia Venga with hybrid power (LPG-electric).
Italian Turismo Championship – Seat Leon Cup
In 2016 BRC Racing Team debuts on the track to help and manage “customers” with a double commitment in the Italian Turismo Championship in support of Mariano Costamagna and in the Seat Leon Cup in support of Alberto Biraghi who closes his season with a nice eighth place finish, in a series with over 25 entrants.
Gentlemen drivers stand up to the good speed race drivers, allowing BRC Racing Team to complete a season lived as protagonist in the best way.
Alberto Viberti is also engaged in the tricolor series reaching close to win the title. The young driver is the only one who can fight with the winner of the series and until the penultimate race defends in the best way the colours of BRC. For a few points, he does not center the victory, which together with the national title won in the Italian Rally Championship would have allowed the team to achieve a historic double.
Also, the seventh place overall of Marco Costamagna in the Italian Rally Championship deserves mention. Biemmedue CEO, with a high-level past in the world of karting, takes part in four appointments always fighting on equal terms with the big names of the series.
It is also worth mentioning appearances and good test of Jimmy Ghione in Magione and Vallelunga.

BRC Racing Team, reigning Italian Champion with Giandomenico Basso and Lorenzo Granai, confirms its presence in the Italian Rally Championship, but this time wearing the colours of Orange 1 Racing and entrusting the car, a Ford Fiesta R5, to the crew composed of Simone Campedelli and Pietro Ometto.
The Winged Panthers are determined until the last race to achieve the victory of the season and conquer the third step of the overall podium, resulting the first private team behind the official car manufacturers’ teams.
TER Tour European Rally
The big news of the season is represented by the participation of BRC Racing Team to a Europe-wide rally program: TER, Tour European Rally. Relationship with Giandomenico Basso and Lorenzo Granai is confirmed, while there’s a turning point in the choice of the car, that now is the new Hyundai I20 R5.
The season is triumphant, thanks also to two victories out of the 7 races on the calendar; Basso and Granai win the continental title going to enrich an already prestigious palmarès.
Worth mentioning the participations of BRC and Giandomenico Basso (and co-driver Simone Scattolin), to the 85° Rallye Monte-carlo, valid as the first test of WRC2 2017, and to the iconic Memorial Bettega in Area 48 – Motul Arena Bologna Fiere, with the same driver at the wheel of the Hyundai i20 WRC.
TCR International Series
In 2017, BRC Racing Team marks a crucial turning point in its path, taking part to TCR International Series.
On the modern track of Zhejiang in Shaoxing (China) a Hyundai i30 N TCR, Hyundai Motorsport’s first car designed specifically for track racing, debuts in an official competition.
BRC Racing Team, after a thorough development in Alzenau, European Headquarters of the Korean brand, manages car’s race performance with Hyundai Motorsport engineers and mechanics.
The cars are entrusted to Gabriele Tarquini and Swiss Alain Menu which, thanks to their experience, contribute to improving the configuration of Hyundai i30 N TCR for the manufacturer’s customers .
The beginning is memorable for BRC Racing Team and Hyundai Motorsport. On the ninth appointment of the TCR International Series, Gabriele Tarquini scores the first fantastic victory.

WTCR FIA WORLD TOURING CAR CUP
The most important challenge for BRC Racing Team in 2018 is the FIA WTCR: the first real track experience for the team, in a high-level league, to prove that they are up to the leading European teams.
The cars are Hyundai i30 N TCR and assigned to Gabriele Tarquini and Norbert Michelisz, protagonists of a fantastic season that can be summed up in three key moments: Tarquini’s victory at debut in Morocco, the regaining of the leadership of the championship thanks to the results obtained at Slovacchiaring and the final rush, that leads to the conquest of the championship by Gabriele Tarquini.
TCR Italy Touring Car Championship
TCR Italia is run by Eric Scalvini and Federico Paolino, who compete in Italy with the same type of car who conquered the WTCR. The season is rewarding and reaches its peak with the victory of Eric Scalvini of the title Under 25.
ERC FIA European Rally Championship – WRC FIA World Rally Championship
In 2018, BRC Racing Team is also a protagonist in the international rally scene, confirming a tradition that sees the team engaged in this sector for several years.
BRC Racing Team is chosen to manage the Hyundai I20 R5 entrusted to young French Pierre Louis Loubet and Vincent Landais, Team Oscaro. The transalpines, thanks to the precious support of the FFSA, take part in 2 races of ERC (European Rally Championship) and 7 tests of WRC2 (World Rally Championship), confirming themselves as one of the most interesting emerging drivers at continental level.

BRC Racing Team is confirmed to be the reference team of the championship, demonstrating exemplary maturity and professionalism in all the events of the season, in which two teams were fielded BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse and BRC Hyundai N Lukoil.

In 2019 there was a fantastic and competitive championship, resolved at the last race in Malesia, with four drivers vying for the title, demonstrating the winning formula of the FIA WTCR, both from a sporting point of view, and participation, given the large number of drivers, teams and manufacturers participating.
TCR Europe Touring Car Series
Thanks to the experience gained in the TCR category both nationally and globally, in 2019 BRC Racing Team takes up a new challenge, taking the field also for the European Series.
The driver chosen for the hunt for the continental title is Luca Filippi who, thanks to his exceptional list of titles, is one of the top drivers among the contenders for the final victory.
Luca Filippi takes part in the seven appointments on the calendar with the high-performance Hyundai i30 N TCR.

Gabriele Tarquini and Norbert Michelisz with Hyundai i30 N TCR cars represent the team in the highest world championship of the category.
At the same time, the team carries on with HMSG, the development of the new model TCR Hyundai, based on the new Elantra N.
TCR Europe
BRC Racing Team is back at the start in TCR Europe.

FIA European Rally Championship
In 2020 BRC Racing Team returns to play a complete program in the rally field, establishing a collaboration with MRF Tyres, the leading Indian tyre manufacturer. WTCR FIA WORLD TOURING CAR CUP
Also in 2021 the collaboration continues with Hyundai Motorsport, for the fifth consecutive year! BRC Racing Team maintains the sports, logistics and technology development and management of two Hyundai Elantra N TCR in the top league FIA for the tourism category. The cars are again entrusted to Gabriele Tarquini and Norbert Michelisz. The championship starts in June, with races in Europe, reaching the finish line in Sochi and including the Race of Italy, at the Autodromo Internazionale di Adria
BRC Racing Team is Back among the protagonists of the series and the performance thanks to the Hyundai Elantra N TCR which always remains at the top of the category.
But 2021 goes down in history for being the last year of the fruitful collaboration with Gabriele Tarquini who definitively hangs up his helmet.
FIA European Rally Championship
One more time, BRC Racing Team is called to support MRF Tyres, in the development of its competition tyres.
FIA European Rally Championship once again confirms an excellent platform. Hyundai i20 R5, always remains at the top of the category and conquers two podiums with drivers WRC Breen and Sordo.
Campionato Italiano WRC
The icing on the cake of a very good season, comes from participating in the Italian Championship WRC, where BRC Racing Team lines up at the starting line two Hyundai i20 R5, assigned to Luca Rossetti and Manuel Fenoli and “Pedro” Baldaccini.
Winning the title with Luca at Rally di Como is one of the highlights of the season, another important milestone to celebrate which is added to the others ones of theTeam.

In a fitting conclusion to the last season of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup, the BRC Racing Team celebrates its first double title victory in the final race, the WTCR Race of Saudi Arabia.
Azcona succeeds his teammate Norbert Michelisz and Team Manager Gabriele Tarquini as winner of the drivers’ title and becomes the first Spaniard to be crowned King of the WTCR.
