Nagy and Homola aiming for success in Zolder

Nagy and Homola aiming for success in Zolder

After August’s debut at Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet, the appointment with TCR Europe Series is back. The second race weekend of the European championship will take place in Belgium on the circuit of Zolder, from 11th to 13th September.

BRC Racing Team target is to redeem the results of the French race weekend, that was slightly below the expectations, given the good conditions proven by the drivers.

Dani Nagy said: “We had a quite difficult race weekend in France which honestly made me even more motivated! We have quite fresh memories from Zolder as we have been testing there a couple of months ago and the weather conditions were close to what we expect this week. I believe this experience with a bit of help from the compensation weight system will give us good chances this weekend. The aim is still the same, we want to be in the mix for the championship title and score as many points as possible. To do that we need to improve on our qualy performance and achieve better results than we did last race. I think the circuit should suit quite well for the Hyundai i30N racecar”.

Mato Homola said: “After the event at Paul Ricard that were not satisfying for us, I am fully motivated for Zolder event. I believe we will be competitive there as we have tested there and I felt great in my Hyunai i3N TCR on Zolder track. Bring it on!”.

Team Principal of BRC Racing Team Gabriele Rizzo comments: “Paul Ricard has been below our expectations. In the past few weeks the whole team, together with the drivers, kept working tirelessly to be at their best in Zolder. The rankings will confirm if we really succeeded in our preparation”.

The 4010 meters of the Belgian circuit will host two free practice sessions on Friday, while the qualifying session and the races will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
