Pierre Louis Loubet and Vincent Landais ready for Portugal

The appointment with FIA WRC2 returns for Pierre Louis Loubet and Vincent Landais, who after the two appearances in the ERC with the Canaries and the Azores rallies and the good performance in the Tour de Corse, are ready to give battle in the 2018 edition of the WRC Vodafone Rally de Portugal, scheduled from 17th to 20th May.

Porto’s Exponor area will be the main location of the rally, headquarter of the Parc Ferme and the point of arrivals and departures of each Stage. The Race will take place on the gravel roads around Matosinhos, in the north of the country. Thursday, May 17th, after the Shakedown and the starting ceremony in Guimarães, the battle begins with the first Special Stage scheduled.

On Friday, May 18th, after the stages in the Alto Minho, the competitors will return to Porto to play the spectacular Street Stage.

Saturday May 19th, stages will take place around Cabreira mountain range including the two steps of the Amarante Stage, 37.6 km long, while Sunday 20th, the drivers will be engaged twice in the historic Fafe Special, also valid as Power Stage.

A total of 358 timed kilometers, divided into 20 Special Stages that the two French drivers from Team Oscaro will as usual face on the Hyundai I20 R5 with Michelin tyres.

This is the pre-race comment of Pierre Louis Loubet: I’m very happy to return to the world championship with this race in Portugal. Vincent and I are very motivated to make a good race, and I am sure that given our performances in this beginning of the season it will be possible to do good things. The rally of Portugal is one of the hardest of the season, we must try in every way to complete the race without punctures and other problems to be able to hope for a good result”.
