Giandomenico Basso at Motorshow is closing a wonderful year
Giandomenico Basso and BRC Gas Equipment’s dream to enter the final phases of 30° Memorial Bettega, the long standing Motorshow Bologna competition, crushes at challenge n.46.
The Treviso based driver, at his first performance on a Hyundai i20 WRC equipped with DMACK Tyres for this event, is the author of a growing race. After a soft start, to get familiar with the circuit and the car, the newly winner of Tour European Rally increasingly reduced his times and on Saturday evening managed to enter the final stage of Pucci Grossi Trophy, ending at fourth place.
On Sunday, nothing was worth the constant improvements. Basso had to surrender to his youngest adversaries, while not sparing any effort and making a great performance for his many fans.
This is Giandomenico Basso’s comment: “It’s been a great experience and we had a lot of fun, despite this race meant my first test on the Hyundai i20 WRC. I was positively impressed by the potential power of the car. Honour to my opponents, who’ve been good and fast. We made a great job by accessing the semi-final on Saturday. Today, despite the vevy good times, we couldn’t repeat, but I’m still happy with the race I did”.
