BRC and Giandomenico Basso ready to go at the 85° Rallye of Monte-Carlo

After a pretty perfect season, that brought Brc and Giandomenico Basso to become the Italian Rally Champions, the 2017 starts in the best way. The Italian driver will lead a Ford Fiesta R5 EVO at the grid line up of the most prestigious race of World Rally Championship.

“Brc is the only private team winning the Italian Title in the last 15 years” states proudly Team Principal Mariano Costamagna, “But it’s time to look ahead, broaden our marketing project horizons and make the team ability known also abroad”.

These words are echoed with satisfaction by Giandomenico Basso: “The Rallye of Monte-Carlo is an amazing race, absolutely the most important one in the world, but the hardest, most unpredictable and most insidious one too. Being part of it is always a huge honour for me, even more with BRC, that strongly believed in me in all these years. It’s wonderful to get here as Italian Champion”.

The Rallye of Monte-Carlo 2017 consists of 1,411.85 km, of which 382.65 of timing races. A brand-new itinerary if compared to the last year one, but that keeps including the historical Sunday special stages on Col de Turini. The Rallye will take place on January 19th with an opening ceremony on the Principality central plaza, and it will be back in Monegasque town on January 22nd.
